Sharing a document with a customer securely

Create a password-protected share link, send it, and revoke it when it is no longer needed.

  1. Create a share link
  2. Send it safely
  3. Revoke a link

Never email documents as attachments when you can share a link instead. A BizDue share link needs the document password and stops working when it expires or when you revoke it.

  1. In Documents, click the Share Link button on the document.
  2. Click to generate the link. If the document has no password yet, BizDue creates one and shows it once.
  3. Copy the link with the copy button.

Send it safely

  1. Send the link to your customer by email or WhatsApp.
  2. Send the password separately, for example by phone or SMS. The document can't be opened without it.

Tip: Sending the link and the password through different channels means a forwarded email alone is not enough to open the file.

Open the share dialog again and click Revoke Link. Anyone who tries the old link sees that it is no longer available.
