Reading the stock summary
How stock is worked out, how it is valued and how to see the size and colour split.
Stock is worked out as:
Opening stock + final purchases − final sales (with returns added back or taken out).
- It is valued at cost, excluding GST.
- Products with sizes or colours show the split for each one.
- Draft bills don't count. If stock looks wrong, look for drafts that should be final.
Tip: Negative stock usually means a sale was made final before its purchase bill was entered.
