WhatsApp leads: enquiries that create themselves
When your WhatsApp Business number is connected, a customer's first message creates or updates a lead automatically.
On this page
If your organization's WhatsApp Business number is connected to BizDue, customers who message you on WhatsApp become leads without anyone typing them in.
How it works
- A customer sends a message to your WhatsApp number.
- BizDue records the conversation and creates a lead with the source WhatsApp.
- If the message contains details, BizDue reads them, for example:
| Line in the message | Fills |
|---|---|
| Name: Ramesh Patel | Customer name |
| Phone: 98765 43210 | Mobile number |
| Loan: Home Loan | Loan type |
| Amount: 25 lakh | Loan amount |
- The lead appears in your Leads list, and the people who are notified about new leads see it under the bell.
No duplicate leads
- Later messages in the same conversation join the same lead; they never create a second one.
- A customer who already has an open lead, or whose lead was already converted, keeps that lead.
- A customer whose old lead was rejected or marked not interested gets a fresh lead.
Only missing fields are filled from new messages. Details your team has already typed are never overwritten.
Setting it up
Our team sets up the WhatsApp connection for your organization. Raise a support ticket under Technical Issue if you want it connected or changed. Your admin can see the connection status under Settings → Third-Party API Integrations.
