Managing WhatsApp message templates
Create templates, submit them to Meta for approval, sync their status and choose the default template for each reminder type.
On this page
WhatsApp reminders use message templates that Meta has approved.
Two kinds of templates
| Your setup | Templates you use |
|---|---|
| Your own WhatsApp Business account connected | Your own templates, created and submitted from BizDue |
| No account of your own | Ready-made templates provided for your organization. Switch on the ones your reminders may use. |
Create a template
- Open My Templates and click New template.
- Enter the Template name, the Language and the category. Reminders are usually Utility.
- Write the Message. Add variables such as the customer's name and give an Example value for each, so Meta can review it.
- Optionally add a Header and Footer, then check the Preview.
- Click Submit to Meta. The template shows Submitted until Meta decides.
Keep statuses up to date
Click Sync from Meta to fetch the latest status of every template: Approved, Pending, or Rejected / paused (with Meta's reason).
Choose what reminders use
- Switch a template on to make it available when sending reminders.
- Set a default template for each reminder type so the right one is picked automatically.
- Use Save fields to say which BizDue value goes into each variable.
